Spill It! Introductions please!
I am Caroline Bramlett, a fashion blogger turned professional photographer based in Palm Beach, Florida and Birmingham, Alabama. I grew up in Birmingham, attended the University of Alabama and moved to Palm Beach soon after college. My love for sunshine and the ocean knows no end, and it has been such a joy to grow my blog and photography business in this beautiful place!
You started your blog “LCB Style” back in 2014 when you were a freshman in college. What led you to start a blog at this time?I started reading blogs when I was 12, and to be honest… I am not even sure how I found them. I just remember coming home from junior high one day and discovering these fascinating online journals of stylish ladies all over the world (this was all before the age of Instagram). I loved following along with them for years and admiring their style from afar. I was a fashion design major my freshman year of college, so I originally started my blog to document the designs I was creating in my classes. From there, I eventually got the courage to share photos of myself and publish outfit posts on my blog and Instagram.
What was your first brand partnership?
My first “real” brand partnership was with MICHELE Watches, which was a total dream/ pinch-me-moment as I started my blog. This partnership gave me a ton of confidence to continue pursuing blogging as a career. Their Marketing Director at the time became like a mentor to me and has encouraged me through so many different stages of my career. I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to work with their brand over the years!
And my first brand event to ever partner on was with Neely and Chloe! I was over the moon when Neely and Chloe came to Birmingham for a trunk show when I was in college!
If you could give one piece of advice for anyone beginning a career in the influencer world, what would it be?Stay true to you, what you love, and your unique style. I know everyone says it, but it can be so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing!
You recently started offering photography services to clients. What made you want to be on the other side of the camera?
I have always loved photography and over the years of growing my blog, the photography part of my job became my very favorite. Whether I was shooting a hotel, outfit, or product… I loved styling and creating beautiful professionally shot images. When I moved to Palm Beach in 2019, I started offering photography services to a few clients (brands, hotels, and influencers) and my business grew through word of mouth. My photography business is now my full time focus, and I love shooting for brands of all shapes and sizes! I believe I bring a unique eye to photoshoots having spent time on both sides of the camera and have insight to what performs best on Instagram, web, email, etc!
You have been both a model AND photographer for N&C ☺ !! Very multi-talented! Do you prefer one over the other? If I had to choose, I would have to say I would rather be the photographer. Getting to dress up and be in the photos is a ton of fun, but I think being the photographer is a more natural fit for me… I love all that goes into styling and creating the perfect image!
Spill It! Can we look inside your bag right now?Of course! I hardly go anywhere without my Neely and Chloe Travel Tote :)
